GAT could be called ‘Alpha Training in a Suitcase’.  GAT teams are provided with training, programmes and transcripts of the GAT talks, which are designed to be more interactive than a traditional Alpha conference.

Prior to each GAT event, everyone on your team must attend a GAT Team Training Day prior to departure, no matter how many times they have done GAT events, whether using their own contacts or National Alpha Office contacts. The reason for this is that we are continually updating and improving our training materials and methods, and it’s important that you and your team have the most up-to-date information. Just as attending the Hosts and Helpers Training is essential each time you help on an Alpha course, attending a GAT Team Training Day is essential each time you go on a GAT.
