GAT could be called ‘Alpha Training in a Suitcase’, as GAT Teams are provided with training, programmes and transcripts of the GAT talks, which are designed to be more interactive than a traditional Alpha conference.

Prior to each GAT Event everyone on your GAT Team, must attend a GAT Team Training day prior to departure, no matter how many times they have done GAT Events, whether using own contacts or NAO contacts. The reason for this is that we are continually updating and improving our training materials and methods, and it’s important that you and your team have the most up-to-date information. Just as attending Hosts and Helpers Training is essential, each time you help on an Alpha course, the same is true for GAT.
