A team of 3 from HTB went to do a 4 day GAT at Carlile College in Nairobi, Kenya. Carlile College provides theological training to students from 8 nations – all who are passionate about mission and evangelism. There were approximately 130 students in attendance at the GAT.

One of the most powerful stories from the week was how God was moving in the heart of Elijah, one of the students from Congo. Elijah and his family had been living in Kenya for 9 years with no intention of ever returning to their homeland. During the course of the week, God strongly impressed it on Elijah’s heart to return to the Congo and start an Alpha course there. The idea of returning to the Congo was not even a fleeting thought in Elijah’s mind at the beginning of the week – and just a few days later the passion and enthusiasm from God’s call was so evident. Elijah plans to return to the Congo in December during his 3 month school break to begin an Alpha course.
